Physical Exams and Well Care

To ensure optimal growth and development of your baby, toddler, young child or adolescent, we provide comprehensive well care appointments.  Having a long-term relationship with your famiy gives the doctor awareness of your child's progress and development over time.  Ideally, that relationship begins when your baby is born.  Your baby will grow so fast in the first two years of life, and will therefore require frequent visits during that time.  Starting at the age of 2, a yearly physical exam by your pediatrician is an important part of your child's health care.  This annual appointment allows the pediatrician to give your child a thorough physical examination, perform routine screenings (e.g., vision and hearing tests), make sure vaccinations are up-to-date and obtain any recommended laboratory testing.  It's also a good opportunity to address important questions relating to nutrition, sleep habits, safety, behavior, teen problems, and more. View our vaccine schedule and our policy on vaccination.

We recommend well care appointments at the following ages:

• 4 to 5 days
• 2 weeks
• 2 months
• 4 months
• 6 months
• 9 months
• 12 months
• 15 months
• 18 months
• 2 years
• Yearly, through age 18

Please call our office to schedule your child's appointment.  We offer well care appointments 6 days a week.  Appointments are available during the evening hours and on Saturdays.
