At Cockerell & McIntosh Pediatrics, we understand that urgent matters do not always occur during regular business hours.  Therefore, we have an urgent care center available in our Independence clinic every evening during the week as well as on Saturday and Sunday.  Our urgent care center is staffed with pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioners who know how to handle the urgent care needs of children and adolescents.  Whether or not you are currently a patient at our Blue Springs or Independence clinics, you are welcome to make an appointment at our urgent care center.  Please check our insurance page to make sure we participate with your insurance plan.

Urgent Care Hours
Our urgent care center is one of the few pediatric urgent care centers in the Kansas City, Missouri area that is open every weekday and on weekends. 

Monday – Friday:           6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday:   2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

If possible, we recommend that you contact our office to schedule an appointment with your primary care physician during regular clinic hours before using our urgent care center.  Please note that our urgent care center does not handle emergency care or critical care issues.
