Sick Care

Did you know that, in most cases, your child can be seen for sick care the same day you call our office?  Our goal is to see sick children as soon as possible to make sure they receive the care they need.  If you think your child may need to be evaluated by one of our providers, we recommend calling early in the day to schedule your appointment.  If your child has an urgent medical problem, we will do our best to see your child immediately or refer them appropriately.

If you would like us to see more than one child, please schedule both of them when you make your appointment.  If a sibling develops a medical problem after the original child’s appointment was scheduled, please call as soon as you discover that you need two appointments.  We will do our best to accommodate both children.  It is always better to call ahead so we can be ready for all of your needs and your wait time can be minimized.  If you ask to have a sick sibling evaluated once you arrive at the office, we may not be able to see that child right away and you may be asked to wait until the provider has seen the other scheduled patients.  As always, we will do our best to work in siblings with urgent medical needs.

Don't forget, we have a phone nurse on staff every day of the week and on Saturday mornings.  Even if you call us outside normal office hours, you will be connected to a qualified nurse who can assist you and, if necessary, connect you with one of our on-call doctors.
