Ever since I was a young child, I knew that I wanted to be a pediatrician and cannot see myself doing anything else.  Seeing a sick child get better and watching my patients grow into young adults are what make the practice of pediatric medicine all worthwhile.  Raising my own children over the years has taught me a lot about the needs of parents from their pediatricians.  My side "hobby" of childhood cancer advocacy has also helped me to understand the importance of what I do for a living. It is nice to have a job that I enjoy and that makes me feel like I'm making a difference in someone's life.
